Summary

If you are on a corporate/business domain, Crystal Delivery will need permissions to access the mapped folder/file share that you're using to store the reports. 

Solution

Crystal Delivery Pro works best using a service account. The service account must be given full permission to your mapped / file shares and you must run the Crystal Delivery Service using the service account user.

These instructions explain how to add required service account user.  This solution is most reliable as it is not affected by user password changes.

Solution Steps

• Click Start button > Type Run > Type dsa.msc
• Press Enter
• Right-click Users (or your specific Organizational Unit OU)
• Click New
• Click User
• Complete New User Form
• Click Next button
• Enter password for the service account user
• Set the following options:
  • Uncheck: User must change password at next logon
  • Check: User cannot change password
  • Check: Password never expires
    

• Click Next

• Click Finish

• Click Close
