Configuring Connections

Modified on Tue, 03 Jul 2018 at 05:36 AM

When a report is added, Crystal Delivery will import the connections used in the report to the Connections tab as shown below. If new connections are needed, the report will need to be modified to use new connections and re-added to Crystal Delivery.

ODBC Data Source Required For each connection imported on the Connections tab, you must have a matching ODBC Data Source configured on your computer.

On Window 7, you can create and configure your ODBC Data Sources here:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe

On Windows 8, 10, Server 2012 you can create and configure your ODBC Data Sources here: Control Panel > Administrative Tools > ODBC Data Sources (32-bit)

Important if the source report is modified and the database connections or input parameters are changed, the report will need to be re-added so that these modifications are populated.

Enter Connection Credentials

Enter your database User ID and Password in the connection string editor for each row presented.
